There are many other “Brazilian” treatments for around $100.00 in Los Angeles that are less expensive like the “blowout” or various “BKTs” however all of these seem to contain a high concentration of Formaldehyde (CH2O) which is known to cause cancer based on the EPA:

Just because you see a logo or a link does not mean that it is the real thing.  Be sure to visit the salon in person and ask your stylist to show you their cosmetology license (and business license for Los Angeles).  Do not be fooled by people who just started working in the hair industry after they received the treatment.  Be sure to use a stylist that has years of experience in complete hairstyling solutions including cuts, color, and conditioning treatments so you receive the complete package!  We have seen this treatment cost between $100 – $1200 in Los Angeles depending on the type of hair that you have so be sure to get a quote first before you buy.
