Don’t Pay Less For CH2O

There are many other “Brazilian” treatments for around $100.00 in Los Angeles that are less expensive like the “blowout” or various “BKTs” however all of these seem to contain a high concentration of Formaldehyde (CH2O) which is known to cause cancer based on the EPA:

Brazilian hair straightening treatments by Veronica do not include a high concentration of CH2O or any variation of the chemical found in other variations of the service like the “blowout.”  Be careful when you pick a stylist or a salon to ensure their service does not contain chemicals that may hurt you.  Any pungent-smelling gas, watery eyes, burning sensations in the eyes and throat, nausea, and difficulty in breathing should be taken as a sign that the treatment may contain CH2O or a variation of formaldehyde.

Colour Correction – Hair

The best thing to do if you need a colour correction is to call the stylist that changed the color of your hair.  Explain the problem and why you may have missed it while you were at the salon.  It could have been because your hair was not dry or it had not completely changed color yet.  The salon should be able to fit you in right away to fix the problem at no additional cost assuming there really is a problem.  Do not wait too long to go back though because the color may have changed.

Some other problems may include:

• Chunky patches of unintentional color from foils
• Hair much to dark or light
• Hair colour done incorrectly or does not follow your chart

In Los Angeles Capelli Lounge frequently has clients come in from other salons that need colour corrections.  Veronica, one of the stylists and co-owner, can also provide colour corrections on-the-spot in emergency situations.
